The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support, and research. Founded in 1980, the Association is dedicated to eliminating Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research, promoting brain health, and enhancing care and support for all affected. With chapters across the country, the organization provides vital services, resources, and advocacy to millions of families. Through initiatives like the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, they unite communities in the fight against this devastating disease.

Speaker: Sara Michel
Sara has almost 40 years of experience in geriatric care and health care. She has worked in long-term care,  geriatric mental health, and senior housing. Sara currently works for Joyful Companions Home Care, which is a small, local agency specializing in services for individuals with memory loss. She is dedicated to supporting clients and their families through education, resource connection, and support to live their fullest lives.
