The mission of the Parkinson's Foundation is to make life better for people with Parkinson's disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. In everything we do, we build on the energy, experience and passion of our global Parkinson's community.
Each year, approximately 60,000 Americans are diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (PD), which is a neurodegenerative disorder. Incidence of Parkinson's disease increases with age, but an estimated four percent of people with PD are diagnosed before age 50. Join us to learn about symptoms, support, living well with Parkinson's disease and how you can help make a difference for our community.
Bio:
Jennifer Hendrickson joined the Parkinson's Foundation in 2017 as the Development Manager. In her first few years with the Parkinson's Foundation, her work focused on the signature walk program, Moving Day. Minnesota hosts the largest attended walk for Parkinson's in the nation, which typically hosts over 3,500 participants at the event. In 2019, Jennifer accepted the position as the Development Director for the local Chapter. She now oversees the work done in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota for the Parkinson's Foundation. Through her work, she provides services and support to all those affected by Parkinson's. From the person that is diagnosed, to their care partner, family member or neighbor.
Jennifer moved to Minnesota in 2011 after living in Los Angeles and the Virgin Islands. She is originally from Ames, Iowa - Go Cyclones! - and travels back often to visit family. Jennifer enjoys volunteering with the Rotary Club of Edina, where she is finishing up her 2 year commitment as the Public Image chair. She also enjoys year-round patio time with friends and family, calling her 7 year old niece on FaceTime, teaching her new puppy Luna tricks and going camping when the weather is nice.
COVID-19 Guidelines:- Limited to 25 attendees. (We will not be accepting walkups if we sell out, so register if you'd like to attend.)
- Masks required while transitioning through the restaurant, but may be removed once seated.
- Once a guest checks in, please proceed to any table and have a seat.
- Guests are asked to stay at their tables. Per COVID regulations; there will be no moving around the room during the networking portion of the event. Attendees will network at their tables.
The Sunrise Edina Business Breakfast is a networking event created to bring small- to medium-sized businesses in the Edina community together for an opportunity to learn more about our local businesses, gain knowledge through education, and share business challenges and opportunities. Be sure to bring your 60 second "creative" commercial detailing your business, upcoming special event, or a product offering you have.
