DESCRIPTION:"Wage & Hour Issues for Minnesota Small Businesses"\n\n\n\nThe "Small Business Series" is a program geared for small businesses and is sponsored by Hellmuth & Johnson and Twin Cities MetroIBA. \n\n\n\nThe June 22nd program will feature Hellmuth & Johnson attorney Jason Raether. His presentation will cover some of the most frequent wage and hour problem areas that confront Minnesota businesses\, with a special focus on small and medium sized employers. Topics will include: \n\n	Minimum wage laws\n	Issues with tipped employees\n	The changing field of overtime laws\n	Wage deductions \n	Prevailing wages \n\nThe seminar will also review the procedure for wage enforcement\, as well as best practices to reduce liability for wage violations. A brief question and answer session will follow\, time permitting.\n\n\n\nPresenter\n\n\n\nJason Raether focuses his practice on commercial litigation\, employment law\, and labor issues.  Leveraging management experience gained prior to law school along with his work as a judicial law clerk\, he brings to clients a keen understanding of legal issues\, business objectives\, and the value of applying a fresh perspective to every challenge.
