DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Randy Shaver\n\nJoin us for a B.E.E.R. luncheon (Bloomington\, Eden Prairie\, Edina and Richfield Chambers of Commerce) and hear Randy Shaver from KARE 11 speak about the Randy Shaver Cancer Foundation.\n\n \n\nRandy Shaver joined KARE 11 in 1983 as the weekend sportscaster. He started the "Prep Sports Extra" in September 1984. That show still exists today celebrating 30 years last fall. He was named Sports Director in 1994. Randy won a regional and national Edward R. Murrow award for sports reporting in 2006 and in 2012 was named the evening news-co-anchor. He\n\nwas inducted into the Minnesota Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2004.\n\n \n\nHe is a Hodgkin's survivor\, and the Randy Shaver Cancer Research & Community Fund has raised almost $5\,000\,000 for cancer research and patient aid in Minnesota. Randy is married to Roseann and have two boys\, Ryan (24)\, Rob (21).
